SLOW ENOUGH TO SEE

Discovering the Living Speed of Perception

Some forms of intelligence can only be perceived at the speed at which they unfold.

Life is always moving—through sensation, relationship, pattern, timing, transition and change.

Yet when urgency and acceleration become familiar, we can begin moving more quickly than
we are able to perceive. We may continue functioning, responding and accomplishing while losing contact with the quieter information available within ourselves, within others and within life.

Slow Enough to See is a self-directed inquiry into the relationship among speed, attention,
perception and participation.

It asks:

At what speed can you still perceive what is happening while it is happening?

The invitation is neither permanent slowness nor withdrawal from movement. It is to discover the living speed at which you can remain present enough to notice, responsive enough to move and connected enough to participate.

Within this course, we will explore:

  • How urgency and habitual acceleration shape perception

  • Why spaciousness can feel unfamiliar, unsafe or unproductive

  • The differences among urgency, momentum, responsiveness, rhythm and flow

  • How to slow without interpreting it as collapse, disappearance or failure

  • How to move quickly without leaving yourself—or life—behind

  • How to recognize when a moment is asking for movement, pause, waiting or response

  • How to notice when you have moved beyond your perceptual capacity—and return

Slowness is not the destination.

Contact is.

This course explores what becomes possible when we move slowly enough
to perceive what life is revealing—and responsively enough to participate while it is still unfolding.
